🎁 giftable air dry clay ideas
on the subject of Christmas, but more specifclally, gifts... if you’re making something for someone else, these always feel thoughtful without being complicated. within the tutorials below, i made the photo holders and mini fruit magnets from foam clay. you could just as easily make with air dry clay - i've done so in the past - so the ideas are included here. i'll get around to posting full tutorials for the air dry clay versions - with steps by steps, FAQs etc - asap!

just a few small things for around the house - these ideas are genuinely useful, while also making your space feel more your own. i've made a few of these but haven't yet got round to posting full project step-by-steps just yet. watch this space!
toothbrush holders
i made some jellycat inspired versions a while ago (pitcured below)
wall hooks
functional but still decorative. great for small spaces.
decorative bowls
perfect for keys, jewellery, or just as a display piece.
storage trays
simple shapes, but they instantly make things feel more organised.
clay wall art
more open-ended, but great if you want something a bit more expressive.

🍬 fun & playful air dry clay ideas
If you want something a bit more unexpected:
clay sweet dispenser
this is really fun to make. sculptural, pastel and slightly nostalgic (hello campino vibes). i made in full ceramic (using a kiln etc), but it would actually be much easier to make in air dry clay. if you have a go, please let me know how it goes!

lighter cases
i made these with polymer clay, but can you make with air dry clay? short answer: yes, you can - but it needs adapting. you'll need to aim for a looser fit, a thicker build and to make sure it's well sealed.
mini food replicas
tiny versions of your favourite foods. cheese & crackers maybe? i made a whole series sandwich coaster series once - not to sound like a broken record, but tutorial coming soon 😂
patterned tiles
great for experimenting with texture and repeating patterns.
novelty flip phone
this nostalgic vibes would be strong here. i just think an old motorolla flip phone made from clay would be so much fun!!!

💡 quick & easy air dry clay ideas (no pressure)
If the above all sounds great, but you just want something super simple to start, you're in the right place.
these don’t need perfect technique. just roll, shape, and see what happens.
• trinket tray
• ring holder
• simple jewellery dish
• abstract shapes
• layered colour pieces
as you'll know by now if you've read the whole post, i'm slowly turning more of these into full step-by-step tutorials, but if there’s something you’d love to see next, please let me know 💖
