founded by me (Kit) in 2022, the making box is a place to find calm, joy, and inspiration through creativity.
it all started with a blue box
when I was about three, my mum used an old blue box and started saving things: odd bits of cardboard, sponges, plastic packaging, and other random bits for me to make things with. we called it the making box, and it was my go-to activity growing up. making anything and everything was my passion.
as I got older, things got busier, and I stopped dedicating any time to creativity. i went to school, uni, and then moved to london, and I soon began to really miss having any sort of creative outlet.
reconnecting with creativity
so then, in June 2022 | decided to start a tiktok - named after the original making box of course. i began to get creative again and experiment with a whole variety of different arts and crafts.
two and a half years on, our little creative community is still growing, and i'm so happy that you're here!
what we share
arts and crafts have been proven to reduce stress and anxiety — but more than that, they're so much fun! whether you're crafting solo or making things with friends, the making box is here to spark ideas and help you get creative.
